Science of Golf
Science of Golf is FifeX's second touring science show, which was developed
for the SASOL SciFest, in South Africa in 2006. The show helped FifeX
to win the award for 'Best Presentation' for the second year in a row.
Covering some fundamental aspects of mechanics in some
fun interactive exhibits, the show looks at golf as a vehicle for communicating
some important science in an entertaining way.
With presenters dressed in period golf attire and authentic hickory shafted clubs on display, the audience can't help but be enthused about the topic for the duration of the show.
The St Andrews Old Course provides a great basis for
the structure of the talk, and at the end of the show, the audience
get a chance to play the famous 18th hole.
