Picture Perfect How do you explain resolution to people without a TV, monitor or video camera???
The picture perfect interactive exhibit kit was built
to help users understand about resolution and it is based on the age
old pin board system. People of all ages love making shapes in the pin
board but with this setup they can explore how differences in resolution
can effect the image that they can produce.
The boards are mounted so that they can be swiveled - even the youngest of users can try out the large (heavy) board without any difficulty. The photo shown includes the two large pin boards with some shapes that can be used.
The bottom photo on the right shows the image of a circle in low resolution - notice the squared off edges!
This kit is available for purchase and can be adapted to include any pin size, hole pitch or pattern of holes (e.g. hexagonal or square).
