'Calorie Gallery' The Brief was to produce something interactive for the team to take out to schools that would help educate children about methods of travel to school and encourage them to cycle or walk instead of driving in the car. FifeX produced an exciting interactive challenge for the children to work on for a short session in school or community centres. The calorie gallery bike gives the users lots of information on their short 'work out' in a fun and visually appealing display incorporating the Council's bright yellow branding. A piece of software written to accompany the exhibition allows the users to see some interesting stats relating to their daily exercise and how this would look over the course of a year. A quiz has been incorporated which ties in with the team's written literature. The exhibition has been hugely successful and is due to be extended during 2006/2007 in order to incorporate more equipment and an extension to the software. For more information on this exhibition and its venues, please contact Rosemary Mullen Calorie Gallery is available for purchase and is suitable
for other community councils, visitor centres or education projects.
