Big changes are underway at FifeX this Spring - investment in new equipment, reconfiguring our office spaces, and also big changes to your key contacts here at FifeX.
As some of you already know, after 15 years of running FifeX, Ken is leaving to spend more time with his young daughter and explore some opportunities within our sector, but he'll also continue in a part time/contract capacity at FifeX as we move forward and will always be on hand to ensure continuity. I suspect we'll struggle to keep him away, FifeX has been his second home for fifteen years afterall!
Ken's previous email address (email@example.com) will be picked up by Carole. Any direct communciations to Ken can now be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Paul and Ken have been working hard over the past few months to invest both time and money into upgrading FifeX for its next chapter under Paul's leadership.
We have some new staff, Henri [Workshop Technician] and Nikki [Exhibit Designer]. It's great to have them on board.
FifeX will continue designing and building interactive exhibits under Paul's leadership in his new role as owner and director. All project-related communications should come to him.
Admin- and finance-related matters will continue to be handled expertly by Carole. As always, you can reach her on

Space and Equipment
We've been busy configuring a new layout in the main office and setting up a whole new unit next door in Unit 4.
In the fabrication department we have increased our woodworking capabilities with a new full sheet table saw and we now have welding and metalworking capabilities with a new lathe and milling machine.
On the digital side we have a new large format 3d printer that can print up to a massive 500mm cube, we are also planning on adding laser cutting capabilities very soon. You are probably aware of our CNC facilities but we're always trying to improve what we're doing and 3D carving and engraving, particularly in Corian are two things we've been working on recently.
The start of the year has been a very busy time and we've covered a lot of miles with visits all over the UK as far south as Winchester and as far north as a rocky trip over to Shetland
2018 is looking very exciting for FifeX - amongst other things, we'll be back to the RS Summer Exhibition, we are finishing an exhibit for the new V&A and continuing some interesting product design work for a company in Dundee - watch this space!
Please get in touch with us if you want to have a chat about your project and remember, the kettle is always on if you fancied a cuppa and nosey at what we're doing.
