Aim: In Deep Water, a project for the School of the Built Environment at Heriot-Watt University, consists of two scale urban models, each with their own bespoke rain system, controlled by a custom designed wireless control unit. The aim was to develop these from the concept right up to delivery - working with the client at all stages to ensure the learning outcomes were achieved.

What we did: The two models took a huge amount of development, prototyping and testing. The final results are hugely impressive models which form a superb base for a workshop. The models are massive but were designed to fit inside vans for touring. Both models have interchangeable parts, ranging from:Roofs GardensPonds Pavements River walls Drainage systemsEach model in this interactive exhibition is ideal for workshops because it can accommodate up to 12 people at the same time.
